Mojo’s Miracle
Not long ago, a tiny kitten was discovered outside a shop in Anchorage, AK, shivering and unable to use his back legs. He was quickly rescued and brought to Anchorage Animal Care and Control for medical attention.
Despite his initial struggle, the tabby kitten quickly won over the hearts of the veterinary team with his resilient spirit. Shannon Basner, the creator of Mojo’s Hope, expressed, “He amazed everyone with his strength, even though his hind legs were still not functioning properly,” as reported by Love Meow.
Mojo’s Hope, a sanctuary for animals in Alaska, welcomed a special needs kitten named Bridger into their care.
Bridger was discovered outdoors, feeling chilly and immobile. Upon arriving at VCA Alaska Pet Care, he was gently wrapped in a cozy blanket as the veterinary technicians, Emma and Toni, showered him with affection. Shannon shared with Love Meow, “The X-rays revealed no spinal damage, and his body responded well to the laser therapy. We suspected his hind leg paralysis could be linked to a lack of nutrients or a potential infection.”
He was offered another opportunity and immediately showed signs of improvement. With a hopeful spirit, Bridger remained a source of positivity and sought affection. Once back at home, he nestled in Shannon’s neck for some serious cuddle time. He was in pure bliss, happily kneading and purring non-stop.
“Thanks to a better routine, good nutrition, and consistent laser therapy, Bridger has become much healthier and stronger.”
He enjoys zooming around the house, always on the move. Bridger, also known as Mojos Hope, may always require help with mobility and toileting, but he doesn’t let that dampen his spirits or stop him from living life to the fullest. Meeting the other furry pals at Mojo’s Hope, Bridger quickly formed a special bond with Cinder the dog, proving that nothing can get in the way of him finding joy and love in every moment.
Mojos Hope
Shannon shared with Love Meow that Bridger has some truly inspiring furry friends, including HarPURR who, like him, is paralyzed in his hindquarters. They teach him how to fully enjoy the present moment and have a blast whenever possible.
Don’t miss out on witnessing Bridger’s adventures in this adorable video where he is always seen purring, enjoying snuggles from people, his feline pals, and especially Cinder, their wonderful husky mom.
When Bridger first laid eyes on Cinder at Mojos Hope, it was like a spark ignited between them. He immediately felt a deep connection with the gentle husky. Bridger was always seeking out her affection and cherished every moment they spent cuddling. As time passed, Cinder began to show her affection towards Bridger as well. It was incredible to witness the way she naturally cared for all the animals at the rescue, including him.
Bridger absolutely loves his caring dog mom, Mojos Hope. “She’s so patient, so loving, and she truly appreciates all the love that Bridger showers her with. It warms our hearts every single time.” Bridger is always on the move, itching to explore and play to his heart’s content. And when he finally wears himself out, he’ll crash for a well-deserved, deep nap.
Cinder adores caring for little Bridger as her foster baby at Mojos Hope. Bridger loves chasing around with his foster kitty siblings, HarPURR, Kane, and Baggie, having a blast with tunnels, crinkly balls, feathers, and more. Shannon, who cares for them, always marvels at Bridger’s ability to find joy in every moment. She believes that these precious cats have a unique perspective on life and teaches them valuable lessons every day.
Bridger has made friends with other felines at Mojo’s Hope, including HaPURR, Kane, and Baggie. Mojo’s Hope is hoping to find Bridger a forever home where he will receive the love and care he deserves.
